Here in Greater Des Moines, it's simple to be a kid. Whether your concept of household enjoyable is a skate park, a smash park, a theme park, or a real park, Des Moines is the ideal escape, no matter if you're young or just young at heart.

The program "Planted Creations: Garden Art" is fun for grades 7-12 at the library. 4:30 -6 p.m. Decorate a terracotta pot with paint pens. Dig in and create your own garden job.
